II. THE POSITION 

Scope of the position 

You will be working in the Brussels’ section of our Tax & Legal Firm, reporting to the Partners in charge, and supervising a team of (Senior) Advisers. 

As a (Senior) Manager, you are expected to be knowledgeable in the different technical areas. You will assume responsibilities just below partner level and hold a position of confidence within the company.  Your responsibilities include the final technical review of advices, staff training, participation at the recruitment process; client administration and such other responsibilities as may be delegated by the Partner in charge of the job. You will get involved in the development, progression and expansion of the department. You will have the opportunity to mould and shape the department and build on its reputation. The firm has an established list of high caliber clients but it would be an added bonus if you have the potential developing your own client portfolio. 

Principal areas of responsibilities 

• You will work with the Partners and the other (Senior) Managers on all types of matters of international personal income tax, including cross-border and international individual employees status and regulations, compliance and reporting issues, pensions, optimalisation of bonus systems, …
• Assistance with tax planning and engineering (optimization of salary packages, salary splits, …).
• Advice in connection with expat status. 
• Review of compliance work.
• You get the opportunity to combine the transactional and the advisory part of your responsibilities.
• You will be expected to quickly integrate in the team, build up your internal network, coach and supervise your junior colleagues and closely collaborate with all professionals involved in the files where your assistance is required.
• You will maintain relations with clients, the KPMG network and with the business community in general.

III. PROFILE 

• University Degree in Applied Economics or Law, preferably with additional Tax Degree.
• Minimum of four years of relevant experience in a similar position in a large organization or with the individual tax authorities (resident or non-resident income taxes).
• Excellent language abilities (English, French and Dutch).
• Very flexible, pro-active, sense for initiative.
• Critical attitude, analytically minded.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, oral as well as in written.
• Good people management and coaching skills.
• Service oriented.
